  • Financing: Has relationships with SBA and mainstream banks. Open to Seller Financing and private investment. Exploring and in conversations with capital partners for larger deals.
  • Deal Size: Targeting $1.5 - $5 million purchase price, willing to go up to $7-9 Million.
  • SDE: minimum of $500k after debt service with healthy margins.

 

Personal Goals:

  • Timeline: Prepared to make an acquisition anytime.
  • Envisioned Role: Prefer operators in place for day-to-day operations, they will oversee strategy and expansion; open to being more involved on larger acquisitions aligning with their skills. Will hire an operator if not one in place. 
  • Work Hours: Long-term ideal work week not more than 20-25 hours, given an operator is in place. Flexible on hours in initial transition period.

Have previously explored ice manufacturing, auto repair, remodeling, dropshipping, printer rental, pet services, hail damage repair, and a cleaning company but dismissed due to reasons like low SDE, limited growth, and seasonal nature. Open to explore businesses in these industries if strong financials/not seasonal. Open to regulated sectors and acknowledges opportunities in areas like accounting, aiming to create value in traditionally less attractive fields.
  • Type: Prefers B2B service businesses. Comfortable with online and offline ventures, especially SAAS and e-commerce.
  • Growth: Prefer well-established, stable businesses to huge growth opportunities, but want business to be in a stable or growth market.
  • Location: Open to online businesses located anywhere in the US; prefer DFW Metro area or within a four-hour drive if physical presence is required if they have a reliable operator and only require quarterly on-site visits. No multinational businesses.
  • Employees: No specific preference for size, like lower costs of labor, but do not want so few it could put business at risk if one employee lost. Employees must have capacity to grow and be coachable.
  • Avoidance: Averse to businesses tied to social media, government contracts, traditional healthcare ("sick care"), franchises, and retail/storefronts. Avoids ventures that exploit employees or don't benefit employees and customers.
