This is not a typical assistant role. You’ll be working side by side with Athena, a fast-moving entrepreneur and founder of a growing SMB acquisitions firm, in a role that blends executive-level business support with personal support. Your mission: keep Athena focused on what matters most by ensuring that both her professional and personal worlds run seamlessly.
That means everything from prepping her for a client or team meeting to making sure her car is serviced, a flight is booked, or groceries are handled, because every detail you take off her plate creates the bandwidth for her to drive the company forward.
This is a high-intensity, high-expectation role for someone who thrives under pressure, anticipates needs before they’re voiced, and can stabilize chaos with calm and precision. It’s designed for someone ambitious and entrepreneurial who ultimately wants to grow into a Chief of Staff role.
Athena Simpson is the founder of AcquiMatch and has over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, advisor, and high-performance expert across media, marketing, events, and strategic business operations.
From launching her own businesses to mentoring and advising startups, Fortune 500, FTSE 100 companies, and government entities, and lecturing at The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business, Athena has cultivated a deep understanding of business dynamics and growth potential.
Her journey led her to acquire profitable businesses through her company, Unrestricted Ventures. Through her struggles to find businesses to buy, she started AcquiMatch, a personalized SMB acquisition search & match service within Unrestricted Ventures.
