LOCAL EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: New Braunfels, TX (In-Person, within 45-minute radius)
Employment Type: (Full-time)
Compensation: Competitive, Based on experience


ABOUT THE ROLE

This is not a typical assistant role. You’ll be working side by side with Athena, a fast-moving entrepreneur and founder of a growing SMB acquisitions firm, in a role that blends executive-level business support with personal support. Your mission: keep Athena focused on what matters most by ensuring that both her professional and personal worlds run seamlessly.


That means everything from prepping her for a client or team meeting to making sure her car is serviced, a flight is booked, or groceries are handled,  because every detail you take off her plate creates the bandwidth for her to drive the company forward.


This is a high-intensity, high-expectation role for someone who thrives under pressure, anticipates needs before they’re voiced, and can stabilize chaos with calm and precision. It’s designed for someone ambitious and entrepreneurial who ultimately wants to grow into a Chief of Staff role.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Executive Support
  • Act as Athena’s right hand, ensuring she operates at peak performance.
  • Own the calendar and inbox, protect priorities, manage follow-ups, and keep commitments on track.
  • Prepare her for meetings: gather materials, brief her, schedule prep time, and ensure she shows up ready.
  • Join her for walking meetings, gym brainstorms, and debriefs, capturing thoughts, organizing ideas, and driving follow-through.
  • Anticipate roadblocks and proactively solve problems before they surface.

Personal & Lifestyle Support
  • Manage logistics that free up headspace: groceries, errands, appointments, deliveries, returns.
  • Coordinate wellness, fitness, and social commitments so they happen without friction.
  • Book and manage travel end-to-end: flights, accommodations, itineraries, packing prep.
  • Handle local logistics (car maintenance, shipping, home services) so life never becomes a bottleneck.

Operations & Special Projects
  • Handle special research, prep, or personal projects with autonomy
  • Be the “home base” contact for Athena’s dynamic day-to-day life, flexible enough to jump in and stabilize the storm.
  • Occasionally attend or support local events, meetings, or content production sessions.

What We’re Looking For
  • Based within 30 - 45 minutes of New Braunfels, TX
  • Exceptionally proactive; you don’t wait for direction, you anticipate needs.
  • High EQ and professionalism; you can jump from a client call to scheduling a personal appointment without skipping a beat.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a high-stress environment.
  • Tech-savvy: fluent in Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, and adaptable to new tools.
  • Balanced: approachable and warm while maintaining discretion and boundaries.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

 

GROWTH POTENTIAL


This is a launchpad role. You’ll start as the stabilizer and enabler of Athena’s day-to-day life. As the company grows, you’ll gain exposure to business strategy, operations, and leadership, positioning yourself to step into Chief of Staff responsibilities which will have you managing aspects of the business on behalf of Athena.

  • You need constant direction. This role requires anticipation and proactivity, not waiting for a to-do list.
  • You’re easily overwhelmed by pressure or a fast-changing environment. Athena moves quickly, priorities shift, and you’ll need to stabilize the chaos, not add to it.
  • You want a “9–5 clock-in, clock-out” job. The hours are reasonable, but the demands are dynamic. Some days will stretch you; that’s part of the challenge.
  • You’re looking for a purely remote role. This job requires physical presence in New Braunfels, TX to truly be effective.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Athena Simpson is the founder of AcquiMatch and has over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, advisor, and high-performance expert across media, marketing, events, and strategic business operations. 

From launching her own businesses to mentoring and advising startups, Fortune 500, FTSE 100 companies, and government entities, and lecturing at The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business, Athena has cultivated a deep understanding of business dynamics and growth potential.   

Her journey led her to acquire profitable businesses through her company, Unrestricted Ventures. Through her struggles to find businesses to buy, she started AcquiMatch, a personalized SMB acquisition search & match service within Unrestricted Ventures. 

Athena often says, "business is my love language," and she applies a matchmaker philosophy to business buying, helping clients find businesses that match their desires and build their own legacy.
