Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) is one of the fastest-growing movements in business. Thousands of professionals are choosing to buy businesses instead of starting from scratch, but most never close a deal because the process is overwhelming, fragmented, and stacked against first-time buyers.

AcquiMatch built the system that fixes that. Our Concierge service has helped nearly 40% of our clients close an acquisition or reach active due diligence, in an industry where 2% of aspiring buyers ever close on a business. Now we are taking the proven engine behind those results and making it accessible to a much wider audience with a new product launching April 2026 via live webinar.

We need closers who can turn interested buyers into committed clients. You will be handling calls with webinar attendees who want to talk through the decision before committing. Some of these buyers are ready and just need confidence. Others need someone who can speak their language, address their concerns, and help them see that this is the system they have been looking for.

This is not a plug-and-play script role. We are building the sales process for this product in real time. You will be one of the first two closers, working directly with the Founder to develop what works, test new approaches, and shape a playbook that future hires will run.   • OTE: $100K-$160K+ (base + uncapped commission + performance bonuses + renewal residual)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Close Webinar-Generated Leads: Handle calls with prospects who attended our live webinar and requested a conversation before committing. Your job is to give them confidence, address objections, and convert interest into signed clients.
  • Build the Playbook With Us: This is a new product with a new sales motion. You will work directly with the Founder to develop objection handling, call frameworks, and conversion strategies. Your feedback from real calls shapes the process.
  • Speak the Language of Sophisticated Buyers: Our buyers are high-earning professionals investing $100K+ to acquire a business. They are analytical, skeptical of hype, and making one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. You need to meet them at their level.
  • Own Your Pipeline: Manage all leads and interactions in HubSpot. Follow up consistently with prospects who need time. Track your metrics daily and take pride in keeping your pipeline airtight. We hold high standards here, and accountability runs both ways.
  • Drive Annual Commitments: We offer quarterly and annual subscription options. You will be incentivized to help buyers see the value of an annual commitment, which is better for them (locked-in pricing, bonus quarter included) and better for us.
  • Collaborate Across the Team: Work with the Founder on messaging, with Marketing on lead quality, and with Operations on client handoff. Regular pipeline reviews keep everyone aligned and help you improve.

 

WHO YOU WILL BE WORKING WITH

You will work directly with Athena Simpson, a 5x founder with 25+ years in business who built a 20% close rate on a six-figure service. The sales methodology was developed with Cole Gordon and Closers.io. The go-to-market strategy was built in partnership with Acquisition.com (Alex and Leila Hormozi). The webinar launch is being run by Katie Brinkley and Shawn Quintero at Next Step Social. Brand and paid acquisition is powered by Daniel Iles and Viral Coach. And behind every client you close is a delivery team led by a Head of Operations who scaled his last company from 5 to 200+ employees.

This is not a startup that is winging it. The strategy, the methodology, and the team are already in place. The playbook is not finished. That is where you come in.

COMPENSATION

This role is structured as base salary plus uncapped commission with performance bonuses and a renewal residual that builds recurring income over time. Comp is designed to reward closers who perform: low floor, high ceiling.

  • Higher commission rate on annual commitments to incentivize long-term client relationships

  • 90-day ramp guarantee so we put skin in the game while the funnel scales. If lead flow falls short, we protect your floor
  • Path to permanent with increased base, benefits, and a clear track to Sales Lead

OTE: $85K-$115K in Year 1, scaling to $160K+ at peak performance. Full compensation breakdown shared with qualified candidates during the interview process.

 

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Mid-to-High Ticket Sales Experience: You have closed $5K-$50K deals: coaching programs, consulting packages, masterminds, SaaS, financial services, or similar. You know how to handle buyers who think carefully before they commit.
  • Consultative Selling Ability: You do not pitch. You listen, diagnose, and guide. Our buyers are not impulse purchasers. They need someone who understands their situation and can connect dots they have not connected yet.
  • Adaptable and Process-Minded: You are comfortable operating without a locked-in playbook. You can test approaches, give real feedback, and help build the system you will eventually run.
  • CRM Discipline: HubSpot proficiency required. You keep your pipeline clean, your notes detailed, and your follow-ups on time. No exceptions. You do not see this as admin. You see it as the discipline that makes you sharper, more prepared, and harder to beat. The best closers treat their CRM like an athlete treats film review.
  • Self-Directed and Accountable: Remote role, contract structure, daily metrics. You do not need someone watching you to perform. You track your own numbers and hold yourself to a standard.
  • Strong Communicator: Phone and video. You come across as credible, knowledgeable, and trustworthy, not salesy. Our buyers are sophisticated; you need to match their energy.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • ETA / Acquisition Familiarity: You know what SBA financing is, what a CIM looks like, or what an LOI means. Maybe you have worked in M&A, private equity, business brokerage, or real estate investment. If not, you can learn it fast and speak credibly about it within two weeks.
  • High-Ticket B2C Closing Background: Coaching, consulting, courses, masterminds, financial advisory, or similar. You have sold to individuals making high-stakes personal decisions with their own capital.
  • Webinar Funnel Experience: You have worked in a webinar-to-call sales motion before. You understand show rates, follow-up cadences, and the urgency window after a live event.
  • Hungry and Proving Something: You are not looking for a comfortable seat. You want to build, compete, and earn a role you can point to and say 'I built that.'
  • Business Obsessed: You follow business trends. You listen to podcasts about entrepreneurship, investing, or growth. You understand why someone would want to buy a business instead of starting one.

 

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

  • Minimum 5 closed deals per month to maintain residual eligibility
  • 40+ qualified conversations per month (calls, follow-ups, active pipeline engagement)
  • 30-40% close rate on booked calls
  • Meticulous pipeline hygiene with every interaction logged, every lead staged correctly, every follow-up scheduled. This is how you spot patterns, improve your approach, and compound your results.
  • Daily metrics reporting: calls made, deals closed, pipeline status. You own this without being asked.
  • 90-day performance review with clear keep/cut criteria

 

Note: Conversation volume depends on lead flow, which is scaling. The 40+ target is a goal as the funnel matures, not a Day 1 expectation. In the first 90 days, we are focused on close rate and quality of conversations, not just volume.
