HEAD OF TALENT & PEOPLE
(Fractional or Full-Time)

YOUR MISSION

As Head of Talent at AcquiMatch, your mission is to take the lead on all things recruitment and people-focused. We’re a small, fast-growing company with a core team of five full-time members and a global network of freelancers and contractors who love our remote-first, high-autonomy culture. We’re scrappy, nimble, and focused on getting the right people in the right roles without being bogged down by unnecessary policies or procedures.

We didn’t think we’d be hiring for this role so soon, but after looking at how many people we need to bring on board this year, we realized we need a rock star to help us find more rock stars — and ensure our team is thriving along the way.

This isn’t your typical HR role. We need someone who can capture and promote our unique culture while identifying top-tier talent and ensuring our people are engaged, happy, and empowered to perform at their best. Location: Remote (Global) with US Central Time working hours
Job Type: Fractional or Full-time (you tell us!)

WHAT YOU'LL BE ACHIEVING

Talent Acquisition & Sourcing

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to meet AcquiMatch’s growing hiring needs, including utilizing specialty recruiters where necessary.
  • Source, engage, and nurture qualified candidates through various platforms.
  • Post job advertisements on relevant sites and manage the applicant tracking process.
  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline for future roles, anticipating upcoming hiring needs.
  • Ensure candidates align with our culture and values to promote long-term success.
  • Utilize HubSpot to manage recruiting workflows and documentation to maintain a strong talent pipeline.
  • Proactively identify and address hiring challenges with creative solutions, while working with leadership on identifying and creating roles that fit the business's needs.
  • Take ownership of creating job descriptions, posting roles on various platforms, screening applicants, conducting interviews, and ensuring a seamless recruitment experience by following the principles outlined in "Who: The A Method for Hiring" to identify the best fit for each role.

Internal Talent Management

  • Manage payroll and contractor invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Oversee leave management processes, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding processes to create smooth transitions.
  • Develop and implement performance review processes to support employee development.
  • Collaborate with leadership on succession planning and resource allocation.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws.

Process Improvement & Culture Building

  • Regularly review and refine recruitment and people processes to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation of recruitment, payroll, and HR workflows.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to align people strategies with business goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing to enhance employer branding and craft engaging job ads.
  • Ensure hiring processes align with our values and promote a diverse, inclusive workplace.

 

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in recruitment and talent management, ideally in fast-paced high growth startups or small businesses.
  • Familiarity with global hiring solutions and remote-first cultures.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple roles and priorities.
  • Ability to hunt out and identify candidates who fit our culture and contribute to our growth.
  • Proficiency in recruitment and HR tools such as HubSpot, Notion, Google Workspace, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Attention to detail in managing payroll, employee records, and recruitment documentation.
  • A proactive mindset and problem-solving approach.

 

Ideal Tech Experience:

  • HubSpot (CRM) for managing candidate and employee interactions.
  • Notion for organizing workflows.
  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) for collaboration and communication.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and job boards.
  • LinkedIn Recruiter for sourcing candidates.

You might have noticed we didn’t include a salary range here, and that’s intentional. Our team spans the globe, and we’re creating roles that have never existed before. We don’t want to limit ourselves, or you, by putting a number on something that could be so much more.

Rest assured, this isn’t about lowballing you. We’ll talk about compensation early in the process to make sure your expectations align with what we can offer. What matters most is finding the right people to join our rocketship. People who feel valued, excited, and ready to help us build something incredible.
